5 Tips When Renting a Limousine For Prom

Prom is a big event amongst high school students and choosing to rent a limousine is a big decision for both students and parents. As you know, there are many limousine companies out there so what do you look for or who do you choose?

Here are 5 tips when renting a limousine for prom:

1. Make a list of friends who will be part of your party for your prom night. This will help determine what size limo you will need to rent. Note: small limos accomodate up to 10 passengers; medium limos hold up to 16 passengers; large limos fit up to 20 passengers; anything over 20 passengers will require a limo bus.

Tip: We suggest that you ask your friends to meet at one location. Door-to-door pick up will waste your time and money.

2. Prepare a Budget. Ask your friends how much each person will be able to contribute for the limo rental.

Tip: Make sure your friends are responsible and will commit to paying their half of the share. You do not want to book for 14 people and have 2 people back out leaving everyone else having to pitch in more money.

3. Make a list of the activities you will be doing and make a schedule.Note: limo companies require a 6 hour minimum rental so make sure you are able to fit all of your activities. You don't want to waste time and money and you want to make sure your prom night is the most memorable night of your high school year.

4. Reserve your limousine early! If there is a certain type of limo you and your friends want to ride to prom in, make sure you book early or else you will be left out with the limo that everyone else passed up on.

Tip: Visit the limo company that is offering you the limo. The type of limo they are offering may not be the same limo they are describing over the phone or online. Also, a company may be offering a lower quote than the rest but it may be for an older model limo. Remember, the cheapest is not always the best.

5. Make a contract with the limo company. You want to make sure that the limo you have fell in love with, will actually pick you and your friends up on your prom night. Note: companies will only allow anyone over the age of 18 to sign a contract. It is better to have a parent sign instead.

Tip: We suggest you check for licences and proof of insurance. It is important to not only love the limo but actually feel safe in it. Your parents will also thank you for this.
