The Quinceañera Dress

For many young ladies who are in the planning stages of their Quinceañera, they discover that finding the perfect dress or gown is very important.  Traditionally the Quinceañera gown was only worn in a white or pink color and was long and formal. However, we have discovered it has become more acceptable to wear a more trendy and modern dress in a different color or style. There are many gowns to choose from. Here is our tip to those young ladies in search for a perfect dress.

The Quinceañera Tradition

A Quinceañera is, in the Latin American culture, the celebration of a woman's fifteenth birthday. It is also know as the transition into womanhood or "coming-of-age".  As tradition, the Quinceañera undergoes a religious ceremony. The ceremony is a very important part in which it provides an opportunity for the Quinceañera's priest to talk about the responsibilities of becoming a woman and helps remind the Quinceañera about her devotion to God. As a custom, the Quinceañera receives gifts by her parents and godparents also known as padrinos. Each gift represents a religious symbolism.

After the ceremony, the Quinceañera is transported by her choosing in a limousine where a celebration is held in the Quinceañera's home or banquet hall. The celebration includes food, music and a choreographed dance which is performed by the Quinceañera and her court. The Quinceañera typically choose close friends to participate in what is called her Court of Honor. The young girls in the court are called "damas" and young men in the court are called "chambelanes". There are several traditions throughout the Quinceañera celebration. One that typically occurs before the Quinceañera and her guests begin to dance is to have the Quinceañera's father or male relative change her flat shoes to high heels. The change in shoes is the symbolism of the Quinceañera's transformation from a young girl to young woman. A waltz is then danced by the father or male relative on the dance floor. Following the special waltz, the Quinceañera's guests join the dance floor and the fun time begins! ♥

Have you ever wondered how limousines are built? Let us share with you our journey as we discovered how our brand new SUV was are transformed into a luxury limousine.

Here is our brand new 2011 Cadillac Escalade SUV.

                                     

Next, our brand new SUV was cut into half and a section was built into the middle to become one long stretch SUV. Interesting huh?

            


Below you'll see how the seating bars were bolted in and how the exterior was painted all one color.

           

Next, you'll see how the windows were inserted and the interior starting to take it's shape. All of the hanging wires is what will light up the disco ceiling. Amazing right?
